Oozons Community: Vice President & Community Builder
“Le numérique s’éveille avec OOZONS”: Using digital technology as a lever for Africa’s development.
About Oozons
Oozons is a Togolese digital community focused on reducing unemployment in Africa through technology: free training, entrepreneurship support, connecting local talent with real opportunities.
| Stat | Value |

These are Oozons figures, not my personal totals.
My role
ASSIMTI Charles: Vice President, Oozons.
Vice President: I started as a volunteer, became Committee Head, then was elected Vice President, responsible for strategic direction and community growth across all programs.
As Vice President, I help set the direction and coordinate programs. Each activity still depends on the trainers, volunteers, partners and local hosts who deliver it.

The full recap of the finale was covered by OOZONS TECH TV:
The video captures the day of the finale at ESGIS Avedji. The 18 finalists who made it through the HackerRank online phase competed in-person for the top prizes. The atmosphere was high-energy: participants coding under pressure in front of a crowd, judges evaluating both output and problem-solving approach. The event included a prize ceremony and remarks from the organizing team. Beyond the competition itself, the video reflects what Code Clash was really about: showing young Togolese developers what they are capable of when given a real challenge and a proper stage to compete on.

Beyond Togo: a sub-regional vision
In late 2025, Oozons organized a 2-day Python bootcamp at CEFOD Business School in Chad with IgoTech TD, training 30+ young people.
“To close out this year, we decided to do what we do best: train young people in technology.”
What the numbers mean
The 1,000+ figure combines awareness activities and community programs. It does not mean that 1,000 people completed the same technical course. Where we have a number tied to one event, such as the 18 Code Clash finalists or the 30+ Python bootcamp participants, I list it separately.
Attendance tells only part of the story. We still need better follow-up on completed training, projects built after a session and opportunities participants obtained later.
